Nonprofits

Nonprofit software programs filed and set up. Grant numbers counted once.

IG Digital Lab in Sacramento helps US nonprofits claim the free and discounted software programs they qualify for, and builds the numbers grantors and boards ask for into the way the work is recorded. The free audit is a written review by email.

Free and discounted software, filed for you

Each program has its own application and its own checks, and most start with an IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter.

1

Check eligibility

We read each program's rules against your IRS letter and activities, and tell you which are open to you.

2

File the application

We prepare it and file it through the verification service that program uses.

3

Set up and connect

Once approved, we set the tools up under your account and connect them to each other and to your records.

Programs we can file for: Google for Nonprofits (Google Workspace), Microsoft 365 for nonprofits, and programs from Canva, Slack, Zoom, Salesforce (Power of Us), Atlassian, Anthropic (Claude for Nonprofits) and OpenAI. Verification services: TechSoup and Goodstack.

Each program decides on approval, never us, and we cannot promise an outcome. Since August 2025 Microsoft 365 also needs its own validation by Microsoft, on top of a TechSoup account.

Grant numbers, counted once

Grantors and boards ask for the same few figures in different formats: people served, visits, outcomes. Re-counting them from spreadsheets at report time is slow, and the totals drift.

Define the numbers

We read your grant agreements and board reports and write down each figure: what counts as a person served, a visit, an outcome.

Capture them as the work happens

Staff record the work once, in one system. Nobody rebuilds the count at the end of the quarter.

Report in each grantor's format

Each report is produced automatically, in the layout that grantor asks for, from the same records.

Intake and case records

One system instead of forms and spreadsheets: one record per person, access by role.

Common questions

What if we do not have an IRS determination letter?

Most programs check your status against that letter, so most will stay closed to you. The free audit finds this out before anything is filed. We do not give legal or tax advice on how to obtain the letter.

Whose name are the accounts in?

Yours. Program memberships belong to your organization, so every account is opened in your name and every credential is handed to you.

Can the grant report match each grantor's format?

Yes. We start from each grantor's own template or form and build the report to match, with every figure drawn from your records. Your staff review it before it goes out.

Ready to see which programs are open to you?

You get a free written review by email within two business days.

Only your email and the task are required. No passwords or client data needed.
